About Galeforce
Peter Kirkbride and Emma Gale met when Emma attended Pete’s acoustic guitar classes at Weymouth College.
Pete who studied at Leeds College of Music and The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama is a guitar tutor, college lecturer and established classical guitarist. He has been performing classical works on a regular basis since the mid 80's and his most recent performance included a selection of Spanish and South American works by Albeniz, Tarrega, Granados and Barrios.
Emma, who was the lead vocalist for The Vending Machine Repairmen in their 10 year run is already a very well respected and established singer. With the fine mix of silky vocal style drawing influences from Sheryl Crow to P!nk, accompanied by the nimble eclectic fingerstyle guitar playing, should make this duo a force to be reckoned with.
Galeforce 2, the acoustic duo and Galeforce 3, the acoustic trio play a range of songs from the 60s to date and tend to lean towards contemporary ballads and songs which are easy to listen to.
Galeforce 4 and 5, the band performs up-tempo popular songs from the 60s to 90s ranging from Rock, Pop and Country and includes artists such as Blondie, The Pretenders, Joni Mitchell, Sheryl Crow, KT Tunstall and P!nk. The songs include well known tracks from Blondie, P!nk, Sheryl Crow, Alannis Morisette, Radiohead, Adele and many many more. Apart from being passionate musicians, both members of this duo are avid XBOX 360 geeks, recreational divers and have two gorgeous labradoodles to look after in their spare time.
